PFI Foods Cold Storage Project
Cold storage solutions for large-scale food manufacturing facilities.

PFI Foods Co., Ltd. is a foreign-invested food supplier based in Shucheng, Anhui, founded in 2015. It makes ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook products — cheese, baked goods, frozen prepared meals, hot pot soup bases, processed meat and seafood, sauces, and more — for foodservice, food industry, and retail customers, and also offers OEM production. As production and cold chain needs grew, the plant required reliable low-temperature storage and rapid freezing capacity.
HeShun designed the cold storage around the plant’s storage temperatures, production processes, and site conditions — from the refrigeration system and cold room structure through installation, commissioning, and all related auxiliary equipment.
Project solutions
Low-temperature refrigeration system — To handle low-temperature storage and rapid freezing, the plant uses a two-stage compression refrigeration system. Two-stage compression keeps performance stable at the low temperatures the plant operates at, which is where single-stage systems start to struggle.
Even air distribution — The air coolers are ceiling-mounted. In the rapid-freezing chamber, overhead air deflectors steer the airflow so the room cools evenly and no area lags behind.
Insulated, fire-retardant cold room structure — The rooms are built with eco-friendly, fire-retardant insulation panels. They deliver good thermal performance without compromising fire safety, and they hold up over years of service.
Surface protection for food production environments — Food plant conditions are hard on equipment: humidity and workshop use take a toll on steel. After installation, the exterior surfaces of the cold room received a full protective treatment. It resists rust and corrosion, keeping the structure sound and extending its service life.
Designed for real-world production environments
A cold room in a food plant has to do more than hold temperature. It sits inside a working workshop, in constant use, and has to keep performing year after year.
So the project was planned as one system: refrigeration, insulation, airflow, and surface protection designed to work together. The result is a facility that holds its temperature, stands up to daily production, and meets every storage and freezing requirement.
HeShun handles the whole job — design, equipment configuration, installation, commissioning, and handover. The client gets a working cold storage facility, not just a set of drawings.
